University Students. The required WebCT ID for WebCT is one's uNID, which consists of a lowercase "u" followed by the last 7 digits of your eight-digit University ID number.
University Instructors. To obtain designer logins for WebCT, see the next section.
Obtaining a Login for WebCT. The WebCT ID and password are obtained from the Campus Information System page as follows:
- Point your browser to the Campus Information System page (https://gate.acs.utah.edu).
- Login using your UNID, explanated above, and your password. If you are a new student or faculty member the default password is the 6-digit month/day/year of your birthday. For the rest of you the password is most likely already set up.
- If you experience any type of problem logging in with the above information, please contact the Campus Help Desk.
Once logged into the system you will be prompted to change your password. It may take up to ten minutes after you have acquired or changed a password for WebCT to recognize the password.

Other Students.Your WebCT ID and Password should have been or will be given to you by your instructor. Contact your instructor for assistance with your username or password.
Other Instructors. Contact your TACC representative for assistance with your username or password.
Note: Since most instructors do not have NIDs, they will need to obtain them before being able to login to WebCT.
