What we do:

TACC Media Services provides support and assistance in the use of course related media to the faculty of the University of Utah, including the preparation and internet delivery of audio and video media. Our aim is to make media that is inconvenient or impractical to use in the traditional classroom setting available online. Our prepared media assets are designed to be integrated into Course Management Systems, faculty websites, and iTunes U.

We provide University of Utah faculty with the highest quality tools to develop efficient and effective learning experiences.

Why we do it:

Our Media Services follows through on TACC’s mission is to assist faculty members in integrating technololgy in course development because successful accomplishment of this mission guide the Univesity in finding ways to improve education through technology.

On the Web: You can upload your digital media files (MP3, MP4, MOV, and WMV) with our easy-to-use online service request form. Get started on your request now.

Instructor Image

In Person: Bring your source materials to TACC and fill out a streaming media project form.

*Note: For ALL requests with multiple sections/segments, please take the time to provide a sheet with time markers for each individual section/segment( when they begin and end).

Example: "The Example":1-17
"The Second" : 17-33:35
"The Third": 45-50

Providing this information will allow us to give you the highest quality work possible and fastest turn around time. We appreciate your requests.

It's easy! We'll take care of the rest. Once we're done preparing your material(s) for streaming, we'll send you an email containing links to your media and instructions for implementing them in your course.


*Note: All project requests MUST be course related. If you feel that the scope of your project is beyond simple authoring or duplication or is not course related, feel free to consult us about what we can do or consult IMS (Instructional Media Services).
