The establishment of a Committee for a Technologically Enhanced Curriculum (CTEC), a standing committee of the Senate, was approved by the University of Utah Academic Senate at its November 6, 2000 meeting.
The primary responsibilities of CTEC are:
1. To serve as a faculty advisory committee both to the Academic Senate and the Information Technology Executive Committee (ITEC).
2. To provide faculty advice to the appropriate bodies on policies and procedures for technology-assisted education.
3. To promote the pedagogically effective use of technology by faculty in the curriculum.
4. To provide faculty advice to the appropriate bodies on copyright policies regarding technology-assisted education.
5. To act as a faculty advisory panel to the Technology Assisted Curriculum Center.
